Refund policy

Hi and welcome to our Return and Refund policy. If you are here, it means either something went a bit wrong. And for that, we sincerely apologize that you had to come here at all. But hey you are here, let's get to the good stuff and see what we can do to help ya out.
Length of Coverage
Our return policy lasts 30 days from date of purchase. We are a small one jeweler shop so some exceptions can be made but normally if 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.
Eligibility 
So how can you be eligible for a refund or return? Well first to be eligible for a return, your item must not have been sized, modified in any way. So no custom jobs but if just a simple stone swap happened that is eligible. Second, if we are no longer in your state or it was a web order you would need to cover shipping to our shops address. We are a small shop so, some costs we just can't cover no matter how much we wish we could. Maybe one day, but today is not that day. Lastly, you have to have some proof you bought it. A Square or website order receipt will work just fine. If you don't have your receipt, as long as you paid with card, we should be able to find it. But if you paid with cash, we would be unable to find it and you would be stuck like Chuck. So please have that handy.
Goods
So, several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases. We currently don't sell any of these items. But hey, future proofing is a good thing to do. 

Additional non-returnable items:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products
- Some health and personal care items
Restocking fee
As stated before we are a small shop. We are trying to expand and meet demand and grow bigger like a tropical fish. But alas, we are still pretty small. To that end, returns and refunds take us away form making the things. So, for that reason, we have a restocking fee. That charge is anything less than $15 per mailed item. So if you have multiple items, if you can cram all the things in one box then you only pay once. Whoot. 
Also, this fee can be waived if the refund, return, or exchange of the item(s) is approved and done while we are still at the event site. 
Partial Refunds

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Bought a custom piece for someone and they passed away or you broke up. ( We are sorry about that)
- Unable to finish paying on an installment invoice. ( Hey things change and it happens) 
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error during transit. ( USPS be the USPS you know?)
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. If item was purchased with cash, a gift card will be mailed to your return address with no additional shipping charges accrued, 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at contact@gentryjewelry.com. And we will see if something happened on our side and get your money's back to you ASAP. 

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. This includes discontinued items and imperfect items. 

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at contact@gentryjewelry.com and send your item to: Gentry Jewelry, 1517 Wisconsin Ave, Flint, MI 48506, United States. and let's see if we can work something out. 

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift card or credit will be mailed or emailed to you. Whichever way it is preferred. 

Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to: Gentry Jewelry,1517 Wisconsin Ave, Flint, MI 48506 United States

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund if shipping was not covered. In addition, if you do an exchange; depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. Shipping will be also added unless stated that we will cover it at no cost to you. 

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
